It is our desire to work closely with parent/guardian and the teen driver as a team to get the most out of your the behind the wheel drivers training. Please keep the following in mind.

Your training consists of appointments. Each appointment will last 120 minutes

Each appointments start time is from the arrival of the instructor at the pick up address (i.e. knocking on the door/ringing the bell) please be aware that due to the private lesson nature of these sessions the instructor will need to complete the lesson and then depart for their next appointment. If the parents/ guardians desire to meet and greet the instructor at the door then this time is deducted from the behind the wheel drivers training. Parents/ guardians are welcomed to leave a message for the instructors by calling our office so the behind the wheel drivers training and/or any other concerns regarding this training can be discussed in more detail at an arranged time.

Please keep in mind that although your appointments are set for certain date/time and we try our best to keep you on an exact schedule, however, it should be understood that our instructors are subject to traffic conditions and other unforeseen circumstances-if an instructor is more than 15 minutes late or early then either the instructor or the office will call to inform you of this event.

Although Teen Driving Academy insists that our instructors use the restroom in-between the appointments, however, the human condition does dictate that at times there may be a restroom stop necessary. If an instructor makes a stop to use the restroom or to obtain fuel during an appointment then this time will be noted and the student shall be compensated for the elapsed time.

Behind the wheel drivers training is not a joy ride! It is training and involves coaching by the instructor. This means that at the beginning of each lesson the driving instructor is required to preview the objective and expectations of each lesson-this requires explanation! And at the end of each lesson the instructor will need to review/ comment and answer any questions that the student may have about the lesson. Thus, there will be a period (average around 10 minutes) at the beginning and at the end of each lesson (around 5 minutes) when the car is parked and this instruction is being provided.

Your safety is of paramount importance to us. If due to a mechanical malfunction and/or in an event that the vehicle is not performing as it should, then the instructor/office will cancel and reschedule your appointment. Thanks in advance for your understanding!

Any cancellation and/or changes to the date/time and/or pick up location of the student driver requires a 24 hour notice to Teen Driving Academy. Otherwise due to the extra incurred costs by Teen Driving Academy there will be a fee $55 charged. This fee is due immediately.

All fees are paid in advance of the training/ your packages are not transferrable and there is NSF fee charged on all returned checks/items.

We work hard to keep you happy and satisfied with the provided service. Please let us know how we did by taking the time and filling out the customer service survey at the end of your package of lessons. There will be sheet attached your completion certificate with a web address and instructions.

If at any time you are not satisfied with your lesson or instructor or condition and/or cleanliness of the vehicle please let us know so we can make it right for you.

Parents of minors will be provided with a supplemental training package which will assist in the 50 hours of additional parental/guardian training required by the state. Your instructor will give you this packet on the 1st day of training.
